ABOUT NOWCAP SERVICES
NOWCAP Services is a subsidiary
of Northwest Community Action
Programs of Wyoming, Inc.
NOWCAP is a multi-faceted,
statewide human service agency
with its beginnings in 1965.
NOWCAP acquired and expanded
the developmental disabilities
program in Casper in 1985
know today as NOWCAP Services.
Employing 185 persons, NOWCAP
Services is one of the largest
employers in Natrona County.
Also, with an annual budget
of over $7,000,000.00, the
economic impact the company
has in Natrona County is
quite significant. NOWCAP
Services has been accredited
by CARF, a world wide accrediting
agency, since 1986. In 2006,
NOWCAP Services received
its seventh straight 3-year
accreditation, CARF's highest
award. The Wyoming Department
of Health, since 1985, has
also certified NOWCAP Services
annually as the regional
provider for Natrona County.
NOWCAP Services is involved
in housing development throughout
Wyoming and owns, operates,
and maintains thirteen residential
and three commercial properties
in Casper. In addition, NOWCAP
Services owns and operates
a 22-unit apartment building;
the first of it's kind to
be funded by Fannie Mae,
in the nation. The Wisconsin
Street Project, funded through
HUD, is the newest residential
project developed by NOWCAP
Services. This 6 unit, handicapped
accessible, apartment complex
is located at 1107 South
Wisconsin, Casper and
gives participants the opportunity
to develop independence with
minimal staff support.
NOWCAP Services has
outreach offices in Cody,
Powell and Rock Springs.
With an 8-unit apartment
complex in Worland, a
2500 square foot group
home in Cody, and a 6-bedroom
group home in Rock Springs,
NOWCAP Services offers
a full range of services
in our outreach facilities.
It is our mission to
give participants the option
to receive quality services,
without leaving their
hometowns.
