Skilled Nursing for People with Brain Injuries  




NOWCAP Services provides 24-hour skilled nursing care and services to meet the medical needs of participants, while offering family members the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is being treated with the medical expertise, care and respect he or she deserves. All participants are treated according to an individually developed plan of care tailored to meet specific needs. All services must be ordered and approved by a physician.

Nursing services include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Medical management and observation
  • Colostomy / Ileostomy
  • Foley / suprapubic catheter care
  • NG or G tube care
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care (Stages I, II, III, decubitus ulcer, post surgical wounds)
  • Permanent tracheostomy care
  • Pain management care
  • Nutrition monitoring
  • Medical history evaluations
  • Diabetic nail care
  • Weight monitoring
  • Injections
  • Initiation of specialist referrals
  • Oxygen level titration
  • Annual immunizations (for staff and participants)
  • Comfort care
