Nursing Services
NOWCAP Services skilled nursing program provides nursing care and services to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of participants, while offering family members the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is being treated with the medical expertise, caring, and respect he or she deserves.
All participants are treated according to an individually developed plan of care tailored to meet specific needs. The skilled nursing plan of care outlines the specific treatments and services the client will receive and is created based on assessments completed during the admission process and updated regularly. All services must be ordered and approved by a physician.
In addition, staff monitors each skilled nursing client's condition and make adjustments to the care plan that reflect any change in status or client needs.
Skilled Nursing services are designed for individuals who need special services such as physical assessments, medication administration; nutritional monitoring through special diets, dining plans or tube feeding. Rehabilitation services are typically a part of the skilled nursing client's treatment regimen, however, Physical and Occupational Therapy, as well as Speech Language Pathology, are provided through licensed therapists.
